OOTR Studies
Many clinical trials about cancer treatments have been carried out since OOTR formed.
Dr. Louis Chow and Dr. Masakazu Toi have started studying new and useful treatments according to different cancer types. They tried to combine neoadjuvant chemotherapy, or hormone therapy with other anti-cancer drugs. Some of these results have been published in medical journals, in which Translational Research in Asia has taken one step forward.
In recent years, OOTR has carried out many clinical trials research in Asia studying the efficacies and side-effects of new adjuvant chemotherapy drugs; signal changes in cells were also studied using tumour specimens. Many research centres from China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, and Taiwan have already started the research, and the results will be announced at international conferences and journals in the near future.
