About OOTR

The Organisation for Oncology and Translational Research Limited (OOTR) was founded to create an international network aimed at promoting clinical and translational research in oncology and strengthening and augmenting its members' research capability. OOTR seeks to help facilitate and coordinate the efforts of clinical researchers around the world.

OOTR is registered with the Hong Kong Government as a non-profit organisation. It started in December 2002 and is in its second year, with centers located in Hong Kong as well as Japan, Korea, Taiwan and the U.S..

OOTR’s AIM

Our aim is to guide the latest scientific findings toward helping improve cancer treatment and prevention. We believe it is essential to develop new modalities and to implement translational research on cancer which allows the results from basic studies to apply to clinical settings such as cancer prevention, diagnosis and treatment. We place a strong emphasis on developing clinical oncology and moving towards translational research. With the above aim in mind, we seek to create networking among oncologists and to develop effective interaction among the most advanced academic institutions throughout the world.
